LESSON INFORMATION

I am currently teaching Monday-Thursday from 4:00pm-7:30pm at  Dave's Music Den, 2326 Hobson Road, 46805. Dave's Music Den's phone number is 482-2365. Here's a map. The map shows the previous studio at Tri State and the new one at Dave's Music Den.

STUDIO POLICY

Lessons are 1/2 hour in length and are scheduled for the same day, at the same time every week. Usually there will be 4 lessons per month, but occasionally, due to holidays, snow days, etc., there will be less. Once in a while, your lesson day will occur 5 times in a month. When this happens, we skip the 5th lesson of that month.

Lessons are $15 per half-hour. Please pay for all four upcoming lessons at the beginning of the month (one $60 payment). If a student must miss a lesson, please call in advance and try to schedule a "make-up" lesson. I will try to schedule make-up lessons, but sometimes no additional lesson times are available.

MATERIALS FOR SNARE DRUM STUDY

Many students start with the minimal amount of study materials listed below. These items are for students who are studying snare drum, only. Usually, they are drummers who are in or are planning to be in the school band.

Sometimes, a student will want to learn the entire drum set, but don't have a set of their own. Often in this case, the student will start with this snare drum method until they decide if they are serious enough to invest in a drum set.

The materials needed for this kind of study are pictured below.

Students need only to bring his or her book and sticks to the lesson. The practice pad can be left at home.

MATERIALS FOR DRUM SET STUDY

Students who wish to study drum set need only to bring his or her sticks and a manuscript book. A manuscript book is a spiral bound book that has 10 or so blank lines of the musical staff printed on each page.
